  1. Her name is “Jehanne” and she was from Domrémy. Therefore, she was neither Joan, nor from Arc. She preferred to be referred to as “Joan the Maiden.”
  2. She was a heroine of the Hundred Years’ War between France and England, but didn’t fight in combat. She was instead responsible for military strategies.
  3. Joan of Arc wasn’t burned as a witch, but as a “heretic.”
