  1. Cleopatra was born in Egypt, spoke the language, and practiced its customs, but she was not ethnically Egyptian. Her family can be traced to Macedonian Greece and Ptolemy I Soter.
  2.  Cleopatra was an intellectual and a naval commander. She was a linguist, who was educated in mathematics, philosophy, oratory astronomy, and authored medical and cosmetic writings, presumably including remedies for baldness and dandruff!
  3. The tomb of Cleopatra (and Mark Antony) remains unknown.
