Pig-Faced Woman: Monster of Holland, England, France & Ireland
The pig-faced woman is not quite a “monster.” Her appearance is due to witchcraft. Her story —of which there are multiple variations—originated from Holand, France and England, but became most popular in England and later in Ireland. Some variations have a fairytale feel to it, similar to Beauty and the Beast, where the curse broken by true love.
