In Norse mythology, Odin, the Allfather, is the wise king who rules Asgard. He is the husband of the goddess Frigg, and father to other gods such as Thor and Loki. He lost an eye to acquire wisdom, and is also associated with knowledge, battle, sorcery, poetry, healing, and many others.
